Seattle Marriott Waterfront

It is the last night of a 7 night stay on a travel package, staying at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. We did not get a "corner" room, but we did get a room looking out onto Elliott Bay (the original E-bay). We have had great weather for Seattle (only 2 days with rain). We walked to the Courtyard and the Renaissance. The Courtyard is reasonable for visiting downtown Seattle, the Renaissance is not well located for visiting the downtown area. The Marriott Waterfront is definitely best for visiting the the downattletown area. However, it does involve a lot walking up/down hills and stairs. (There is an elevator at the south end of the Marriott that eliminates about 5-6 stories of climbing.) Today a Princess cruise ship docked right across the street from the Marriott. I was not expecting that. The Concierge lounge has been pleasant each morning/evening. At times it was hectic, but not out of control. My only disappointment with Seattle is that the public transportation is not integrated. Bus tickets do not apply to the light rail and you can not buy "all day" tickets. They need to take a lesson from Portland, OR.

      Agree exactly with you!

This is a great place to stay prior/after a cruise!

jerrycoin, it was so fun to see a pint-sized link to Insiders on the Residence Inn Cheektowaga hotel page last week.... with your member name in plain sight!
