I must say, I'm almost never disappointed when I call the Marriott reservation line. Usually its for a special trip requirement that I just can't handle online. In this case, I have a 2-day business trip in DC and wanted to stay at the Dullas Airport Marriott and it showed online as 'unavailable'. Being a Platinum Elite, I called the reservation line and planned on using my Platinum Override benefit. Sydney, the call center supervisor on duty at the time, picked up my call. Although she could book me some rooms, it initially told her I'd have to book the first night at one rate, then change rooms and prepay for the second night. She called the hotel and worked with their team to shuffle some rooms around and got me 2 nights in the same room at a lower rate! THIS is why I'm a devoted Marriott guest. Thank you Sydney.
