Honeymoon in hawaii

We are sending our son and hi future wife on a honeymoon to Hawaii and are looking for the best spot in Oahu for them to stay.  We want them to be able to see pearl harborm Wiakiki beach, diamond head - the usual tourist stuff, but also be in a place where they can relax and honeymoon on a nice quiet beach.  Somewhere near enough to restaurants and tourist things but removed enough to be relaxing.  Any thoughts or recommendations will be appreciated.

JW Marriott Ihilani is by far and away the best choice for honeymooners.  It is a breathtaking site that provides the best privacy on the island, but is a quick drive to all of the typical tourist sites.  One note... make sure they have a rental car.

Service is incredible, sights are unforgettable, food is delicious.... a true once in a lifetime experience.

I would definitely recommend the KoOlina on the west side of Oahu.  We stayed there about 5 years ago when the entire resort was brand new and not fully developed.  The timeshare and JW Marriott were both spectacular.  The Ihilani Spa remains our favorite spa to this day.  You are about 20 minutes from downtown Waikiki and all the touristy stuff.  For a truly romantic, peaceful and luxurious stay in Hawaii this is the place to go.
