Tailgating at RFK (when that was home to the Nationalys) in the spring and fall (when DC weather is at its finest) will go down as one of my favorite past-times. It was the perfect set-up for tailgating and a quick, sobering walk to the stadium at game-time. The parking was plentiful and the fans were as nice as could be. Plenty of lawn space for the children to play and for families to enjoy great food and drinks before heading into the stadium for more!
The art of tailgating is not what is used to be even 10 years ago with so many new ballparks being downtown and not having the large parking lots at the stadiums like past days. I'm just luck down here in Houston we still have one stadium with huge tailgating for the Texan games, Reliant Stadium one of the top tailgating places in the NFL according to some survey taken and it is awesome to be down among them all.
