Paris off the beaten path

I will be traveling to Paris for the fifth time in five years.  I usually host a group of people (students and faculty) from the university where I work.  This year, however, just my husband and I are going for our 20th anniversary.  Unfortunately, we don't have unlimited cash, yet we hope to eat well.

Any recommendations for places to eat that AREN'T in every guide book available?  Thanks!

lepi du pan resturant over by the bon marche..you can't go wrong, used to be a set three course meal for 29, but now i think it is about 32 euros.

great food. not the best, but very cost efficent.
