As a kid, everyone wanted to hit home runs. It's just the way it was. For those not lucky enough to have an early growth spurt, it wasn't very likely. Luckily, although I wasn't the biggest kid, I was fast. I still remember the first time I hit an inside the park homerun like it was yesterday. Outside pitch, line-drive right down the first base line and the first baseman didn't have a chance! It went all the way to the right field wall and by the time I was rounding third the ball hadn't even gotten into the infield. Needless to say, this was a pretty fun moment and something I'll always remember!
