Hi all,

I've cruised a gazillion times out of the Port of Miami, but never Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale.

What Marriott property do you recommend that doesn't cost over $200 a night.

Thanks in advance, Mary

    trippin,

    Try the properties at Plantation,

Secondly, look further North on I-95!

    Good luck.

If that fails, look at places in Lauderdale-by-the Sea!  I found some really inexpensive places there, and the traffic is not the problem as on the other side of the river!

Jerry, I did check that out online and it looks fabulous!  Thanks!!

I usually cruise with my hubby or family but my girlfriend (Maid of Honor in my wedding) and I have cruised twice before and this will be our 10th anniversary of our 1st cruise plus our birthday bash.  She'll be 40 and I'll be 55.  (ugh)  Fun times!!

We stayed at the Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel February 2012 prior to our cruise.  It was under $200 and cruise transfers were availabe (I forget the cost but is was reasonable) right outside the lobby.  If you are looking for a place close by and only for a night I would recommend it.
