I spent much of my childhood overseas, in a country where baseball is not that big of a sport. By the way, no country holds baseball as dear of a sport as does the United States! Trying to enjoy the sport is rather difficult without some playmates, so I had to find a way of teaching the nationals how to play. It was so much fun trying to teach locals the "gist" of the game - quite humorous at times! That makes me even more grateful for the please we enjoy in baseball in the USA, whether it be by playing in person or by watching such a beloved sport.
