My wife just received a Marriott rewards visa and with it was an offer for a free night. Went to marriottrewards.com to look at e-certificate using my rewards card (she does not have one). No e-certificate was there. My activity was. Does she need to get a separate marriott rewards account?
Are three nights straightforward, meaning we get a free night at a mattioot if we make reservations through the marriott rewards or is there a catch such as requiring a certain length of stay.
Also can we use her credit card but my rewards number for points in an upcoming stay?
Thanks for the quick reply.
What I really need to know is whether I can charge something with her Marriott credit card, but use my rewards card (she does not have one in her name). Do we need to set up a separate one for her? If we do try to set one up for her, will we be able to use the same email address for each of us.
The thing is that we just received the credit card yesterday. We are planning to go to a marriott soon and I want to use the card to make the reservations. I also want to get the points, but with only me having a rewards account, I would prefer to add it to my existing total. If we have to get a card, so be it. I guess we can transfer points to put them all together. There is also a promo that says if we spend $1000 in the frist 3 months, we get 50K points. In this trip, I will be well on my way to the $1000 spent.
I just need to know if we need to get her a rewards account and if so, before booking or before completion.
As far as the e-certificate is concerned, I just want to look at it, but it does not appear in my rewards account. Where would it appear.
I also assume the 6 month clock has started and we will need to do something in the next six months.
