We've been taking an annual trip to Aruba, and there are several restaurant that are on our "can't miss" list. They include Madame Jeanette (www.MadameJeanette.info) for a beautiful outdoor setting and some of the best food at great prices! I believe it's a $9 cab ride from the Marriott Surf Club.
Another favorite is Mirandi (www.MirandiAruba.com ). It's actually a giant palapa, complete with sand floors and the food is outstanding.
We also really enjoy the L.G. Smith Steakhouse in the Renaissance Hotel downtown. It's on the 2nd floor with a great view overlooking the water. We stumble across it as part of the "Let's Go Latin" dinner/show package.
We typically go for Thanksgiving and it's been out tradition to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at sunset on a catamaran. It's a catered dinner, open bar and a great cruise. I believe they do these on Tues-Thurs and can be booked through the concierge.
The biggest thing that we found is that dining in Aruba is really economical, but absolutely delicious!
