As a gold elite member I am very disappointed about changes to the rewards program. I don't understand why the Megabonus offer I receive is less valuable/attractive than the one posted on your website. Also I didn't think that category changes were going into effect until May. Three of my favorite properties have already been upgrades and more points are required now. I was under the impression that we could reserve at current levels until May and even use those rewards in the next year.
I have limited funds and have directed my business to Marriott. These changes are making me rethink my decisions. I hope someone will address why the most loyal customers receive the least benefits.
After the MIs announcement about category changes, I reserved a hotel for the present point value. If hotels are jumping the gun, you might want to call customer service. None of us are happy with the changes.
