Call Guest Services for your personal Lifetime status

Happy Tuesday, all!  I've been getting plenty of private messages asking to check on personal Lifetime status.  While I would love to accommodate, my view into the member data system only shows me your number of elite nights, NOT your total points.  I'm sorry, but you'll need to call the number on the back of your membership card, and one of our Guest Services team members will be happy to check on your personal status.

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

    I have 671 nights and 2.268 million points but only a 2013 Gold card and the online status still shows I need 44 nights to renew my status for this year.  So I called CS and as usual, they were very nice saying the lifetime cards should all be received within 3 weeks due to high volume they are mailing.  No answer on when my online status would reflect lifetime Gold.  And I did get confusing responses to lifetime Plat status.  One said not unless I attain that level for 1 year and the other rep saying that requirement was gone and with my points, I only need to get 74 additional nights (not in one year) for lifetime Plat status.  So no definitive answer and the program materials received with my 2013 Gold card only states the required nights and points as a requirement.

    Congrats to MR for what I see as a positive change in status requirements but the IT people should have been more proactive in getting the changes made to eliminate the negatives of the delays and resulting complaints/comments and costs to Marriott to respond to so many calls and mail 2 cards out.
