We were in Rome in November. Stayed at the Rome Marriott Grand Flora. Used our HGA points. Great time of year to be there. There were very few crowds and the weather was in the low and mid 60's. Strongly suggest a car service at the airport. We used Bob's Limousine service. Strongly suggest private tours. In Rome we used Icon Tours (firstname.lastname@example.org) and email@example.com. We took the train to Florence (1 1/2 hours) and stayed overnight. The first day we booked two tours with artviva tours (firstname.lastname@example.org) and the second day we went to the Duomo on our own. In Rome the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's was breathtaking. You have to book very early for the underground excavation tour, but is well worth it. See email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. There is alot of walking in Rome so small children may not be able to do everything. We did not take our youngest daughter. We would leave our hotel at around 9:00 AM and not return until after dinner around 9:00PM. We really crammed alot into one week, but it was fun.
