Combining Visa Rewards Certificates

I was planning on splitting a hotel room with a buddy of mine for a two night stay, and we both have a Marriott Rewards Visa card and the annual free-night e-certificate.  Apparently you can't transfer the e-certificate to another person so as to simplify the reservation process - is there a way to combine them on the reservation so as to cover a multiple night stay?

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

    Belisarius,

For sure if you split it into two reservations, one with your MR # and one with your buddy's, it will work.  As far as combining them, I believe you will have to call the Reservation line to do it, if it's even possible (and they are definitely not transferrable).  Good luck, and let us know what you find out.

We did something similar, we used a rewards certificate and then points.  We made a comment on the reservation and the hotel then put the reservations together.  If this does not work, I am sure you can tell them at check-in.
