Marriott LAX Los Angeles

Just completed a quick stay at the LAX Marriott in Los Angeles, CA.    Spent 2 weeks in Palm Springs (Marriott Desert Springs) and stayed overnight before flying back to New York the next day.

Could not be more pleased with everything.    I received a welcoming email from them two days prior and when we arrived at noon was upgraded, without asking, to the concierge floor.   As it was Saturday I mentioned that I knew the lounge would not be open.   They said they were sorry and gave us two vouchers for buffet breakfast the next day at their restaurant.

The cost of valet parking is steep ($32.50) but it was managed very well.   When we called for the car from our room it was waiting for us when we got downstairs.

The facilities are great -- hairdresser/barber on premises, restaurants, business center, workout rooms and a simple beautiful landscaped outdoor pool area.

Highly recommend to anyone needing to stay near the airport in LA!

    kroywen,

Good report!  The LAX Renaisannce hotel next door is also an excellent choice when staying near LAX.  You may also want to note that Hertz and Budget Car Rentals are in walking distance to both of these hotels.  This might help you avoid the parking/valet charges if you are only staying for one night.

      vaboywnder,

      Good point, and good advice!

Thanks so much, especially if you want to turn your car in early and have a good nights rest, prior to an early morning flight!
