Kharada46,

You should be "Showered" with information prior to your Wedding and Honeymoon!

You may enjoy seeing and reading about the trip from La Defense to Versailles via metro and RER.  The trip should not take an hour, and once there prepare yourself for a lot of walking, so pick a day where the weather will "Bless you"!

The trip is relaxing and full of interesting sights.  Here goes:

The hotel is very peaceful, especially on week-ends.  This is what you will see as you walk there from the train station!  Head to the left side of the Arch!

From the hotel, you will take the Metro across the Seine, and then get on the RER to Versailles, one connection is all you need to make!

The view is wonderful on the RER!  Sit back and relax.

You will arrive at this platform in Versailles, walk out to the entrance to the Palace.

The RER back could be crowded, so get on early, and get a seat!

You will take the same way back, so sit on the right side of the RER!  It is not an expensive trip!

When you do get back, after an interesting and scenic day, do what I do!

HAVE A COLD BEER!  Congratulations!!l

    Jerry,

Thank you!  Your pictorial guides are always so helpful!  The train does look rather crowded, though I'm hoping our off season trip will mean smaller crowds.

      KH,

      You are so correct Sir!

The day I did this was a Paris to Versailles Marathon, and the train was packed!

      You should be, just fine!

Or you can just take a taxi cab --it's only thirty minutes and quite cheap.
