Has anyone else stayed at this hotel right in the heart of Cleveland? Could someone be so kind as to comment on their stay? I have had to deal with them a couple times, just wanted some outside imput from someone else who has stayed, or dealt with the folks at the Renaissance. My dealings with the corporation have all had great outcomes. Would appreciate any other opinions.
Thank you ever so much! Lady Tapper7
I have stayed there at least a dozen times over the past 5 years -- every stay has been wonderful. The hotel itself is grand, the personnel are top notch. The Club Lounge attendant, Albert, is perhaps the best in the entire Marriott chain. He knows everything about Cleveland, and will go to any lengths to satisfy a guest.
I have nothing but good to say about this hotel.
I have stayed there a couple times and always found the location to be ideal for whatever I wanted to do i the city. The rooms are older and a bit dated but they supposedly have refurbed since my last stay, so we will find out tomorrow.
I usually go there on weekends, so have yet to experience the concierge lounge, which I have heard is incredible... 2-stories, great food, chess boards, views of the whole city... sucks they close it on weekends, even to Plat members.
I have stayed here a few times. Each time has been a wonderful trip. The last trip, I was upgraded to a suite.....the size of 4 normal hotel rooms.....the primary bathroom was the size of a normal hotel room. They have maintained a lot of the histrorical charm of the hotel. I plan to stay there when the wife and I visit Cleveland.
If you like to gamble, it is practically directly next to the casino. This was not a primary concern for me....but just an FYI. It is conveniently located to a lot of really good food options.
The lounge is definitely nice. It has a lot of the older feel to it. The service has always been excellent up there as well.
