We generally holiday in Europe and the UK every 18-24 months; however, with our continued weakening currency when compared with the euro or sterling, it is certainly less expensive for those abroad to come visit us here in the colonies.
We are considering as an alternative a visit to British Columbia either later this year or early next year - does anyone have any words of wisdom beyond the "usual tourist traps".
A VERY beautiful travel destination is the group of Gulf Islands, in between Vancouver and Vancouver Island. They are accessible by ferry (cars allowed - catch the ferry from Tsawwassen near Vancouver). A particularly beautiful island (with a couple of beaches and bluffs) is Galiano. We stayed at a lovely cottage, Foxglove - absolutely incredible.
