Great Florida beach resort

For a terrific place to relax in the sun, try the Delray Beach Marriott, in Delray Beach, Florida. The town of Delray Beach is loaded with all kinds of shops and restaurants all open late. There are many free parking lots in the town center as well as valet parking. The Marriott is a wonderful hotel kept spotless and with very friendly & helpful staff. They have music and a dance floor in the evenings and you can get your favorite drink and snacks as well. There's a main pool area and an adult only pool. The beach is right across the street.  Boca Raton & Palm Beach are only minutes away for more shopping and dining experiences.

This sounds great, but another great destination is the JW Marriiott Grande Lakes in Orlando.  It's near all the attractions, but you really never have to leave the hotel.  It has a great river pool, good restaurant, great golf (so I'm told) and the most fabulous hotel spa I've ever been to.  The spa connect the Marriott to the Ritz Carlton whose amenities are also availabel to Marriott guests.  Tea at the Ritz is a must!  But otherwise, three of four days of relaxing at the Marriott can't be beat.

Delray Beach Marriott is a great venue.  Lots of marble!  Within walking distance along both Ocean Blvd and Atlantic Ave are numerous restaurants, watering holes (try Boston's), and boutiques.  You can see the ocean from the hotel.

I have visited the Marco Island Resort and Spa in Florida several times and found it to be one of the finest beach resorts in Florida. A very nice peaceful area to relax and enjoy. We visited the resort in November and are going back this Thursday. In fact in November we bought in to the Marriott Crystal Shores time share that is being built just down the the resort.

Totally agree.  Delray capture more of a Cape Cod feel than any sort of Spring Break Florida image.  The Presidential Suite is incredible.  The hotel is stylish and has tremendous curb appeal.  As soon as you walk into the lobby, breathe in a Delray breeze you will know you are someplace special.

Delray is my favorite place to visit in southeast FL.  I have only visited the Marriott during the day, but it does look like a great hotel -- located on the beach, but also within a short walk of all Delray's great restaurants and shops.  The lobby area is very well done and the hotel definitely has a "first class" feel to it.

Another great place is the Residence Inn and Courtyard located at Sandestin Resort. This is up in the panhandle, an easy drive from anywhere in the midwest. The hotels have access to the resort, which features a beautiful beach, 4 golf courses, and lots of fun stuff to do. Great place to bring a family.

Another great resort is the Ocean Pointe up in West Palm Beach. You have the pools onsite and the ocean there as well. Food and shopping are close to the resort. This is a time share but also allows weekly accomedations. It is about an hour away from Ft. Lauderdale were you can go to the Hard Rock located in Hollywood Florida, Casino and night life.

Out of all the Marriott's I've stayed in this is one of my personal favorites for many reasons.  I like hotels I can walk to great restaurants and bars nearby and this one foots the bill for sure.  Atlantic Ave., right there, is a fantastic strip.  Although it's across the street from the beach I've always spent most of my down time poolside where they offer fantastic service.  I try not to tell too many folks about this hotel as I thought it was my own little secret! :)
