This Courtyard proved a surprisingly wonderful alternative to the other Kauai properties, with reasonable rates and a location about as central as you can get to so many destinations on the island. We stayed for six days during the infamous "Dead Zone" of early December (ours was in 2012), and got inside the door for about $128 per night. Reasonably priced restaurants (starting with Mickey Dee's) and supermarkets are just down the street. There's a shore-side bike and pedestrian trail that goes on forever (an easy alternative to the more famous Na Pali Coast Trail). I guarantee, the Coconut Beach Courtyard won't be a secret for long!
The property was nice and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. I was there on business and the manager came out to meet me in the lobby when I checked in and we exchanged business cards. Another highlight was they poolside chair massages! They need more than one masseuse. Great value and really comfortable sitting by the pool and fire pit.
