From country clubs to nightclubs, being part of a club has always come with benefits, whether it’s beautifully manicured golf courses or bottles of the best champagne. It’s no surprise, then, that the same can be said of Marriott Vacation Club®, a vacation ownership program offering the opportunity to own time at resorts around the world.
Deciding if vacation ownership is for you takes some time, but pluto77 finds that “your investment will have paid for itself” over time, and can “be enjoyed for life, and beyond.” Once you’ve decided to make the investment, however, the biggest question is where you want to spend your vacations.
Of Hawaii’s five Vacation Club resorts, member retired, who owns five Hawaii timeshares, likes Kauai Beach Club, while heartplatinum says Kauai Lagoons – Kalanipu’u is “the most amazing property I’ve ever seen.” Tjcnewyork has a hard time choosing between Kauai Beach Club and Maui Ocean Club, saying, “Both are beautiful, unique and extraordinary for a vacation of a lifetime.” In Florida, Orlando’s Cypress Harbour gets a glowing review from icreddy, who praised the resort and its location near the city’s major theme parks. The Caribbean is synonymous with vacation, and mikiegfla reports that the St. Kitts Beach Club “is one helluva place” and recommends it “to anybody that needs to get away from it all.” Kimkdallas loves the Aruba Ocean Club and offers a detailed report on everything from the rooms (“really nice”) to the beach/pool (“Wow!”).
If you’re traveling with the kids, Insiders have plenty of recommendations. Travelmom has tried a few Vacation Club resorts, and likes Hilton Head’s Monarch, with its bike trails and kayaking; Boston’s Custom House, within walking distance of the museum and aquarium; Mountainside in Park City and Orlando’s Cypress Harbour, where her kids “couldn’t wait to leave the theme parks to get back to the resort.” Cypress Harbour gets votes for families from pickelball68, southbound5 and daddyof2. At Maui’s Ocean Club, flyingace_1 keeps the kids entertained with whale-watching, the aquarium, a submarine trip and “awesome beaches.”
To get the best deals on Vacation Club stays, tjcnewyork tells you how to search the latest offers. If you’re looking for advice on exchanges, teresa and padirescu offer great tips, while tef6178 lets you know how to trade your Vacation Club weeks for points.

We did listen to a time share presentation at the Ko Olina Marriott and it does make sense. However, with a young one entering college, we didn't want to commit at this time. I can totally see us taking advantage of this offer in a couple years. It's a nice way to vacation, even cruises! There are sooo many places all over the world you can go, although I can't imagine anything more beautiful than Ko Olina!
