Which Courtyard or Fairfield property in the St. Louis area is your favorite?,

I really like the Springhill in Earth City near STL. This is a newer property and is conveniently located near the airport and I70/270. We had previously stayed at the nearby Courtyard, but this is a lot nicer property and breakfast is included. I recommend this hotel if you need to be near the airport or are looking for a stopover in the area.

If you are considering hotels for weekend stays, the Marriott's (airport and West County) and Rennaissance airport often have weekend rates that are often less expensive than CY, SHS, ad FI in the area. AAA and breakfast inclusive packages may also be available.

Once again, great advice from superchief.  Given my choice, I like the Airport Renaissance much better than the other properties near Lambert Field.

The Renaissance is a very fine property but the area can be a a concern after dark.  Don't plan on walking to anything and know your directions if you stay there.
