Nearby is a famous place, The Hard Rock Cafe! You can walk to it but I would recommend a taxi. Double check with the concierge and make sure they are still serving meals. This is a historic place and the food is pretty good.
One place you will also want to visit is The Audley, it is just out the back door and is a great pub. It is on Audley Street, and is another fun place. The crowd will build on the sidewalk so get there early.
This is the Audley with no crowd.
This is what it looks like at "Happy Hour"!
My guest enjoys The Hard Rock. From the Marriott walk toward Buckingham Palace, you can't miss this historic place.
More London threads
I don't know why, but I got about 60 or 70 emails from you all in a row, that I think might have come from this posting. Maybe because I'm following you. It seems to be sending me one email for each link when you add these postings with multiple links in them. Interesting.
I just indexed London threads last night.
When I queried London under Destinations, there were 14 pages of links.
After making a list of links, I then pasted them as a response to the end of each thread to cross reference them, and also associate the hotels discussed in each thread.
Have been doing this for some time with different destinations, but most are a page or 2 and probably not so noticeable.
Even Paris did not have nearly this number of entries.
I think it is generating an email per thread where I add the index entry.
CM is working on a skelton directory, that I am hoping we can attach threads to instead of using the low tech method of posting the cross references as a reply to the original post.
p.s. Last night I only finished 5 of 14 pages of threads. I have another 8 to finish tonight and over the weekend. I get so many emails from MI, that I have a rule in my outlook that routes them to my Marriott folder and I can scan them when I am ready to dig in on MI correspondence.
