Before starting a new thread, please use the search feature to see if there's a recent discussion on your topic. The search field is located in the upper left hand corner of the Marriott Rewards Insiders home page. Keeping information on the same topic confined to as few discussion threads as possible helps members quickly find the information they need.
Imagine searching for a new discussion and having to wade through vague titles that may or may not be relevant. Generalities such as "Guess what?" or "Disappointment in France." You can help by making the titles of your posts as specific and descriptive as possible like, "Restaurant Discovery in Boston" or "Avoiding the Crowds at the Louvre." Be as helpful as possible in your titles, and if you want to improve or revise it, you can easily change it.
All discussions or questions posted within the Destinations topic area require a location tag. For general discussions about a city or region, you can simply type in the city or region, and then click "add tags".
For conversations about a specific Marriott property, you can add the exact property tag with the three-step process: First, type the city name in the location text field. Then select the matching city within the suggested results list. Complete your tag by selecting both the hotel's brand and property name.

Take a moment to welcome newcomers into the Marriott Rewards Insiders community. Since some members hesitate before submitting their first post, being greeted offers important reassurance that their contributions have value.
Marriott Rewards continues to evolve the Insiders community based upon your feedback. If you have a suggestion that may improve the community, simply start a discussion or create an "idea" within the Community Suggestions topic area. Keep in mind that some changes or enhancements involve significant resources, planning and/or time, so not all can be implemented. We do, however, consider all feedback and integrate the most effective ideas into our plans as best we can.
You can acknowledge those associates that provide particularly commendable service by nominating them for a Spirit to Serve Award through the Insiders community. The Insiders Stewards program allows our most active and knowledgeable members to have a formal leadership role within the Insiders community. As community leaders, Stewards help drive positive participation throughout the site and answer questions from other members so the site remains a unique resource of travel and Marriott Rewards information.
The Insiders Stewards program is comprised of five Insiders, who may communicate with Marriott to show their understanding of community trends, receive feedback on issues, collaborate on site improvements, and share important previews that they then can share with members. By taking an active leadership role within the community, Stewards help reinforce the purpose of the Insiders community: to ultimately provide a community for members by members.

Given that this program is voluntary, Insiders Stewards are asked to maintain their roles for six months from the time they are accepted as Stewards. They may vacate their role at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, but Marriott asks that departing Stewards communicate such change as early as possible for the benefit of the community and to help Marriott fill the role quickly.

Being a Steward does not limit or dictate the sentiment of a Steward's postings in any manner. As a member of the Insiders community, all members can openly and honestly post their opinions. The only limitations placed on posts are those dictated in the site T&Cs.
A requirement of the Stewards Program is participation within the private Stewards discussion group on Insiders. Information about this discussion group will be provided to new Stewards, as this is the primary communication channel between Stewards and Marriott. Marriott's proprietary information of a confidential nature may be revealed during these communications and will be clearly identified as such. Stewards must agree to protect any and all confidentiality.
The Stewards program is a volunteer program. No financial or actual compensation is promised to a participant in any form. Marriott will accept individuals who desire to be personally rewarded by the opportunity to be known as a leader within a community of like-minded travel peers. Marriott Rewards Stewards are enthusiastic members of one of the largest and most successful hotel loyalty programs in the world.
Stewards are asked to serve a six-month term and upon completion, are encouraged to share feedback in the spirit of improving the Stewards program.
Upon the completion of the six-month term, Stewards will receive a new badge/icon identifying them as an alumnus of the program. Alumni may be invited at any time to offer feedback, generate ideas, etc.
Stewards may reapply to the program after a one-year hiatus.
