Not sure about the license, but I've eaten my share and many others shares too of Marriott burgers and only occasionally do I not enjoy it. Sometimes the bun is different, or the cheese is different, or maybe bacon or no bacon, or regular mustard or dijonaise, but for the vast majority of the time, it's the best thing on the room service menu for me.
Dude, The very best burger I have ever had was at the Marriott West Palm Beach! By far the best. However, as I travel the United States, I have tried the burger in every other hotel, and have found their to be a consistent variation in the burger. The buns are different, the pickels are different, the meat is prepared differently (Flame broiled versus fired). I have been on a quest to find this burger again, however, I feel it may be in vain.
Doesn't seem to be consistent - I had a particularly good one at the Houston Airport Marriott (Bush Intercontinental) and they said a lot of people compliment them on it. Sadly, I can't recommend the actual hotel. My first one was at the Seattle Airport Marriott, and that was also the very first time I tried Gery Poupon Dijon mustard. Sadly, they don't serve it with that anymore. I had a particularly bland Marriott Burger at the Heathrow Airport Marriott (more than one actually, all bland) and after having the manager tell me it was cooked properly and to "British Standards" and that it was because they were required to cook the meat more - I then had one a week later at the Windsor Marriott a few miles away and it was delicious. So they are generally good, but don't count on it.
